I live in Winnipeg since 1992. I am married, two teen children, and a dog.
I enjoy baking, walking with my dog, camping and road trips with my family.
I am originally from El Salvador and I was on my second year of university in Business Administration before I came to Canada.
I currently work as an Educational Assistant and as a Settlement Worker for the RETSD.

As a Settlement Worker I provide services to newcomer families in Winnipeg.
As an Educational Assistant, I work with special needs children by supporting their educational and social needs.

Feel comfortable using the everyday technology such as computers, cell phones, iPads.
Online learning is brand new to me.

Relevant Skills and Knowledge
|
Knowledgeable in different writing programs used with special needs students. Trained in URIS – responding to emergency (medical) situations.

I’m really looking forward to becoming an EAL teacher. I love the interaction with L1 learners as I once was.
